Have you ever imagined the possibilities that exist in your life? I mean really imagined them?
Do you realize that we, as ordinary people, can become extraordinary? You’ve heard the expression…the sky’s the limit. Anything is possible, if you truly believe, but here’s the thing…we’ve got to put the work in to make it happen.
The dreams that you’ve had may not have turned out as you’ve expected them to, but have you ever considered the possibility that they could be better than you could have imagined? Sure, you might be having a hard time right now, but change happens every day. Unexpected pleasures happen every day. Doors open every day. We just need to open our hearts and our eyes to see them and walk through.
Our imagination is powerful. It has the capability of turning the imaginable into a reality.
As a child, my imagination ran wild. I’d look up to the sky and dream of what was possible. What really fanned my creative mind was one of my favorite movies of all time, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The scene that spoke to me most is when Mr. Wonka introduces the families to the world of pure imagination: where rivers run with milk chocolate, where candy grows on trees, where wallpaper is lickable, and mushrooms are filled with vanilla cream. It’s a magical place where anything is possible. Needless to say, my mind exploded with what could be. Of course I didn’t believe that flowing rivers of chocolate would be a reality, but it certainly allowed me to dream big, which is in part why I became a novelist at such a late age. You are never too old to make what seems impossible possible.
I’m not saying it’s going to be easy.
As with most aspirations that truly matter, it takes work. Just keep in mind that if you don’t get the results you’d hoped for, please don’t give up on your pursuit. It just might be that you were meant to find your joy on a different path, and that path never would have been open to you had you not pursued your potential in the first place.
So, here’s to letting your imagination know no bounds. Here’s to putting words to your life’s story in ways that makes it a page turner…where you can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for you, and when your book is finally written, I hope that you were able to explore the depths and heights of your full potential.
I hope that your story will leave a lasting legacy of one who lived uninhibited and unashamed; that loved abundantly; that shared her knowledge, wealth, and wisdom; that appreciated the gift of living a life that had a storybook ending and that happily ever after.
Pure Imagination…for your enjoyment:
